GWA Welcomes Carly Bedini and Kurt Patrick to the Board of Directors

The Global Workspace Association is proud to welcome Carly Bedini and Kurt Patrick as the newest members of our Board of Directors. Both bring deep industry expertise, complementary perspectives, and a shared commitment to advancing the flexible workspace industry through leadership, collaboration, and community.
 

Carly Bedini
Vice President, Operations | iQ Offices

Carly Bedini is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience building scalable systems and leading high-performing teams across the flexible workspace and commercial real estate sectors. In her role as Vice President of Operations at iQ Offices, Carly oversees complex, multi-location operations and works closely with executive leadership to translate strategic vision into executable plans that support growth, member experience, and long-term sustainability.

Known for bringing clarity and structure to complex environments, Carly has led large-scale initiatives spanning operational planning, financial forecasting and budget control, project and construction management, and enterprise-wide process improvement. She has a proven ability to guide teams through periods of growth and change while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and service delivery.

Carly is deeply committed to people-first leadership, believing that engaged and supported teams are the foundation of strong organizations and vibrant workplace communities. As a GWA Board Director, she brings a critical operator’s perspective, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for advancing the flexible workspace industry through shared standards, education, and meaningful connection.

Kurt Patrick
Vice President of Sales | essensys

Kurt Patrick is a seasoned sales executive with more than 17 years of experience, including over seven years as Vice President of Sales at essensys. During his tenure, Kurt has successfully acquired and grown more than 100 landmark accounts, playing a key role in expanding essensys’ footprint across the United States, Canada, and Australia.

As the second U.S. sales hire at essensys, Kurt was instrumental in building channel partnerships across complementary service offerings and helping establish the company’s presence in new markets. Beyond his sales achievements, Kurt is widely recognized as a thought leader in the prop-tech and flexible office space, bringing a strategic and relationship-driven approach to growth.

Kurt is a founding member and Vice Chairman of Programming for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Flex Office & Experience Council and currently serves on the GWA Advisory Board. He is also the recipient of the essensys Overall Recognition Award, honoring his exceptional contributions to the firm.

Outside of work, Kurt is a semi-retired musician, a husband, and a father of two, bringing both creativity and balance to his leadership approach.
